What do I have to let go of to actually move forward?

You’d think by now it wouldn’t still bother you. And yet it shows up at the worst times, like it never really left.

If the old way had finished this, it wouldn’t still be showing up now.

That’s the part we often miss. What keeps coming back usually isn’t something you failed to let go of. It’s something that never got finished.

This week’s episode goes deeper into that, but if you’re sitting with this right now, here are a few questions worth staying with instead of pushing past:

·      What is happening to me right now?

·      What didn’t get finished here?

·      What did this actually need that it never got?

·      Is this about something someone else did…or something I haven’t made peace with in myself?

·      Am I trying to get rid of this, or actually understand it?

You don’t have to answer all of those at once. You don’t even have to answer them fully. Just slowing down long enough to ask them changes how this shows up.

If this question feels familiar, the full conversation from this week’s Sunday with Dr. Shannon goes further into what to do next and why this keeps happening in the first place.
